Mission

To honor Dr. Dave Welch's legacy by raising funds and awareness for local cancer patients and their families. In addition, the foundation partners with local organizations dedicated to serving the physical and spiritual needs of children and critically ill patients.

With support from friends and members of the local business community, the Dr. Dave Welch Foundation has been able to raise $540,000 over the last 14 years! We were proud to contribute those proceeds to the Montgomery Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama and to other organizations serving local critically ill patients. We also earmark a portion of the proceeds for the mission of Common Ground Montgomery and the John Thayer Voltz Foundation.

By supporting the Montgomery Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama, we help to provide cancer patients with comfortable and quiet treatment, prescription medication, transportation to and from treatment and access to a full time support staff.

We continue to fund the JT Voltz Foundation as well as other local critically ill patients by providing the funds required for treatment, handicap accessibility and other special needs projects.

Finally, we provide funds and support for the mission of Common Ground Montgomery. They offer children of the Washington Park neighborhood a safe place for after school programs, bible studies, tutoring, mentoring, job/skill training, summer camp and much more. This is an amazing program that proves to continue to transform lives every day.
